Bill Talon joined FreedomPay in February 2017 as Senior Vice President of Global Operations. In this role Bill is responsible for Supply Chain, Technical Support, Boarding, Application Support, Client Services, Implementations, account Management and provides leadership and oversight to our Performance Management strategies.
Bill came to FreedomPay from First Data where he was Head of Global Supply Chain providing strategic and tactical support. His responsibilities included leading the enterprise wide Supply Chain effort, designing and implementing internal controls, strengthening policies and procedures to ensure teams were maximizing efficiencies and optimization within counties applicable laws and regulations. He excelled in fostering strong relationships and developing supply chain competencies with country leadership teams. Additionally, Bill served as Vice President of the Client Care Organization’s PMO team leading strategic initiatives, migration strategies and BPO management support. Bill initially began his First Data career engaged in leading multiple functions of the Boarding and Maintenance teams where he developed continuous improvement methodologies within these teams realizing significant cost savings, improved cycle times and overall improvement with the client experience. Bill also provided leadership and support to the First Data Salutes Program recognizing Military Active and Veteran employees and YoPro, a young professionals program both designed to embrace inclusion and diversity.
Bill spent 20 years at DHL before joining First Data. He was named Head of Ground Operations – Americas Region in 2010. During the span of his career at DHL, he held a variety of leadership positions within Operations to include Vendor Management and Relations, Performance Engineering, Field Engineering, Hub and Ramp Operations and Field Operations. Bill’s international experience provided opportunity to lead Americas Ground Operations developing solutions to implement logistical efficiencies reducing expenses throughout the Americas footprint. His Engineering skills were quickly recognized with his introduction of dashboard and scorecards that measured US courier performance from which the US Management team adopted as their Meritocracy system.
